{WHAT IS SELF-INJURY? Self-injury is a deliberate, non-suicidal behavior that involves inflicting physical harm on oneself. Examples can include cutting, scratching, burning, self-hitting, hair pulling, bone breaking, etc.

TEENS: APECA offers support services for teens (ages 11-17) recovering from self-injury and abuse.  No cost is involved, but registration is required.  Call the APECA office at 623-247-6026 for more information.
 

* These services are partially funded through a CDBG grant from the City of Phoenix.

 

To learn more about APECA's new teen support group,  which meets at the Avondale Resource Center the first Tuesday of the month, contact the APECA office.
